Jason Tan, Philippines

Studies: Trinity Evangelical Divinity School; Class of 2011.

Focus of Studies: Jason’s studies focus on the intersection of theology and the Filipino culture. He is working to develop materials that will support pastors and missionaries there. One desire is to help develop a theology book, specifically for those in the Filipino church. He also wants to find ways that the evangelical church can better reach the Asian culture of his country. 

About Jason: Jason has served on the faculty at Alliance Graduate School and the Great Commission Missionary Training Center in the Philippines. He has a passion for motivating the church in his country to address the unique challenges which exist there. His training will prepare him to help train missionaries and leaders who are serving the church throughout Asia.

Family: Jason is married to Donna. Their son, Joshua is in grade school and their daughter, Elisha Hope is in pre-school. 

Prayer Requests: He asks for prayers for his family as they continue to adjust to living in a new culture and operating in a new language all the time; also for his studies and the schools back in the Philippines while he is gone.
