Ramadhan Chan Liol, Sudan

Focus of Studies:
Ramadhan’s work focuses on justice in the book of Amos. He believes this is an important in light of the violence and warfare in Sudan. Fighting such as that highlighted in Darfur has caused considerable unrest in the nation. Many have fled as refugees.

About Ramadhan: Ramadhan leads the Gideon Theological School, recently relocated farther south in Sudan. The school is scheduled to resume courses in January 2008. In addition to the school, Ramadhan remains involved in leadership training for pastors and church leaders who find themselves under Islamic pressure. He intends to return to Sudan this spring for data collection.

Family: Ramadhan and his wife, Mary, have four children, all young adults: Shol, Arou, Sarah, and Deborah.

Prayer Request: Ramadhan asks for prayer for the school as they prepare to resume classes. Additionally, he asks for prayer for an end to the fighting in his nation.
